Mickael Maison resolved KAFKA-18894.

Resolution: Won't Do
ConfigProvider instances are very short lived in all components but Connect.
Monitoring for short lived instances is not very valuable. Having different
behaviors between Connect and the other components is likely to be confusing.
So we decided to not add support for KIP-877 to ConfigProviders.
