Hi Jeremy Different types of mailing lists associated with Kafka are listed here: https://kafka.apache.org/contact The page also tells you how to subscribe to a mailing list (it is as simple as sending an email to a particular email address).
In addition to mailing lists, Apache also maintains a slack channel for different projects, primarily meant to have active back-forth discussions (although decisions are communicated on mailing list). You can find the instructions to join as a guest here <https://infra.apache.org/slack.html>. TBH, #kafka slack channel doesn't have a lot of activity and I think the mailing list will probably be more useful for most purposes. Hope this helps!
