Hi devs, I haven't contributed to kafka yet, and would like a mentor to answer basic questions like "how do I format the code to pass the checkstyle?"

Right now I'm looking at an issue with uneven distribution across partitions and have noticed that the sticky partitioning seems to break non-sticky impls such as the RoundRobinPartitioner.
