Hi Satish, Thanks for the KIP. I'm wondering how much of this problem can be addressed just by increasing the replication max lag? That was one of the purposes of KIP-537 (the default increased from 10s to 30s). Also, the new configurations seem quite low level. I think they will be hard for users to understand (even reading through a couple times I'm not sure I understand them fully). I think if there's a way to improve this behavior without requiring any new configurations, it would be much more attractive.
