I think starting another release is a great idea! I’ve created a tracking issue for Iceberg-Rust 0.8 here [1] There are already a bunch of great features for the new release. One I'm really excited about is to be able to replace pyiceberg's cython avro reader with an iceberg-rust one. We're almost at feature parity, only one last issue remaining and its tracked here [2] It would be great if someone could volunteer as the release manager. I’m happy to help, of course.
