Hello, Date -> Timestamp promotion is a part of the v3 spec that hasn't yet been implemented in the Iceberg library.
I've created a PR (https://github.com/apache/iceberg/issues/14265) to help fix this gap for users. If anybody else is interested in this feature (or just in v3 implementation in general!), please take a look. Thanks a lot, Alex Stephen
