Jason Dere created HIVE-5484:
--------------------------------

Summary: TestSchemaTool failures when Hive version has more than 3
revision numbers
                 Key: HIVE-5484
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-5484
             Project: Hive
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Jason Dere

If Hive is created with a version string with more than 3 numbers, we end up
with a couple of test failures in TestSchemaTool, because the metastore is
expecting a version with the format of majorVersion.minorVersion.changeVersion.
