Hi all, I noticed that HiveServer2 will have username/password authentication. When will this HiveServer2 be available?
As we know, the existing HiveServer does not have any authentication mechanism, so there's no security control on client connections and operations. It would be good to introduce authentication infrastructure to it as well, so I opened jira HIVE-3719<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-3719> and put the design there to achieve this.
