Hi Edward, thanks for the comment. We agree with you. The goal of this work is
to remove the dependency of Cygwin on Windows so that Hive can run natively.
This is an extension to the similar work we are doing for Hadoop
(https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-8079). We definitely look forward
to more feedback and collaborations next. Thanks!
