| Subject | [ANNOUNCE] New Committer: Shohei Okumiya |
Hi all,

Apache Hive's Project Management Committee (PMC) has invited Shohei
Okumiya to become a committer, and we are pleased to announce that he
has accepted.

Shohei has been contributing to the project since 2021, fixing
multiple bugs (wrong results, crashes, etc.) in the compiler/optimizer
component, improving stats estimations, enhancing diagnosability and
maintainability of the project by pushing patches around error
handling and code style/quality. Shohei has also been active in the
dev@ list answering questions and participating in discussions about
the future of the project and they have been helping with
documentation by updating various sections of the wiki.

Shohei, welcome, thank you for your contributions, and we look forward
to your further interactions with the community!

Please review the guidelines for new committers [1] and take
additional actions as needed.

Stamatis Zampetakis (on behalf of the Apache Hive PMC)
