Hi all, There was a PR earlier this year to update the PostgreSQL version used by Hive.
https://github.com/apache/hive/pull/4195 This PR was merged into branch-3, but there have been no subsequent releases of Hive 3.x. Will there be another release of 3.x that incorporates this change? I'd very much like to see this since it addresses a number of CVEs as well as addressing security issues such as the support for scram-sha-256 hashes.
