Szehon Ho updated HIVE-9004:
----------------------------
    Hadoop Flags: Incompatible change

[~thejas] [~brocknoland] this is a good change in my opinion. Strictly
speaking it is backward incompatible, and i marked it as such. I dont see any
issue in putting it in with proper documentation as its not very intrusive, but
wanted to double check if there's any concern before going ahead. Thanks

> Reset doesn't work for the default empty value entry

> To illustrate that:
> In hive cli:
> hive> set hive.table.parameters.default;
> hive.table.parameters.default is undefined
> hive> set hive.table.parameters.default=key1=value1;
> hive> reset;
> hive> set hive.table.parameters.default;
> hive.table.parameters.default=key1=value1
> I think we expect the last output as "hive.table.parameters.default is
> undefined"
