Yeah, when I look in build/ql/tmp/hive.log after running
index_auto_test_if_used.q, I see
-jobconf hive.input.format=org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.io.HiveInputFormat
in the parameters to the spawned job. So it looks like you haven't got the
plumbing all the way through to the end?
Also, the patch is going to need to be rebased since the commit of HIVE-1803.
