Folks, Rather unfortunately, 5.3a1 RC1 has a severe regression in the connection pool implementations and also breaks HttpClient protocol code due to the changes related to handling of user info in request URIs.
There is no point releasing the alpha in its present state. I am calling off the release and start working on fixing the regressions and preparing RC2.
