Konrad Windszus updated HTTPCLIENT-2296:
----------------------------------------
    Description:
Currently in https://hc.apache.org/get-involved.html only two GitHub links are
mentioned:
# https://github.com/apache/httpcomponents-client/

It is not clear how those repos map to the components outlined in
# https://hc.apache.org/httpcomponents-client-5.3.x/index.html
# https://hc.apache.org/httpcomponents-client-5.2.x/index.html
# https://hc.apache.org/httpcomponents-core-5.2.x/index.html
# https://hc.apache.org/httpcomponents-client-4.5.x/index.html
# https://hc.apache.org/httpcomponents-core-4.4.x/index.html
# https://hc.apache.org/httpcomponents-asyncclient-4.1.x/index.html

Particularly the latter doesn't seem to be covered by any branch in one of the
two mentioned repositories. For the other ones it is not clear which branch
maintains which client/core version.

In the best case a "Fork on GitHub" ribbon can be used prominently in the
header (https://maven.apache.org/skins/maven-fluido-skin/#GitHub_Ribbons) to
ease finding the source code (but that just links to a generic project, not a
particular branch).
