1. I agree that using payloads with DELETE is weird.
2. I disagree that RFC 2616 disallows payloads on DELETE.
3. FWIW, RFC 2616 is very clear about that OPTIONS can have a payload.
4. RFC 2616 and RFC 723x describe the same protocol (HTTP/1.1), claiming
something else is very misleading.
