Hi everyone,

Now that Groovy is an official Apache project, I'd encourage as many
people as possible to get along to ApacheCon conferences. The next one
is in May in Vancouver, Canada. Speakers get free entry, so I'd
encourage you to submit a talk - though the CFP closes today, so be
quick!

I went to the last one in Europe and found in very worthwhile. I'd
love to go to Vancouver too but my work commitments will make it
difficult this time around. In any case, I'd be happy to "lend" one of
my slide decks to anyone interested in spreading the Groovy message at
the conference.

You can find out more details here:

There is also a travel assistance program (limited positions but
numerous per conference I believe) if your work isn't in a position to
fund your travel:

http://www.apache.org/travel/

That closes a few days after speaker acceptance notices are received,
so still a little bit of time.

Cheers, Paul.
