Here is a summary of the Apache Grails Weekly Planning Meeting held on
May 27, 2026.
ATTENDEES:

TOPICS DISCUSSED:
1. 7.x.x Feature Complete
No new features will be added to the 7.x line. Focus is on closing
remaining open PRs. June 30th EOL for Grails 7.x.x due to Spring Boot
3.5.x EOL.
Some PRs may be moved to the 8.0.x branch (Spring Boot 4).
Decision: Avoid cascading merges to prevent instability.
2. Anthropic Claude Mythos Scan
Targeting grails-core and grails-spring-security.
Prerequisite PRs to merge first:

The initial scan will help improve documentation. This is not the
final state.
3. Grails 8.0.0-M2 Milestone Progress
