On behalf of the PMC, I'm very happy to announce a new Apache Flink PMC Member - Ron Liu.
Ron has been a dedicated and invaluable contributor to the Flink community for several years. He became a committer in 2023 and currently focuses on advancing Flink SQL's stream-batch unification capabilities. Ron led the design and implementation of Materialized Table support in Flink SQL, a key improvement that strengthens stream-batch unification and contributes to Apache Flink's community growth. In Addition, he served as the sole release manager for Flink 2.1.0, ensuring its timely and stable delivery. Beyond his technical work, Ron actively advocates for Flink through presentations at Flink Forward, Community Over Code, and local meetups, sharing insights that enrich our ecosystem.
