Hi there, I've spent some time picking up the existing work for FLINK-22748 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-22748>, and created a PR, building on Nicholas Jiang's work:
https://github.com/apache/flink-connector-kafka/pull/109 I saw the issue is marked stale, so I'm starting this mailing list thread because I'm not sure if notifications go through for the old PR and JIRA issue. What do folks think of the updated approach? Happy to work on it and get this issue resolved.
