Hi, Joern. Weclome to contribute. As for contritbueingto SQL part, i would like to recommend the FLINK-6810[1] FLINK-20787 [2] as a start. By contributing it, you may get more familiar to the stack of Flink SQL. I have no right to assign ticket, but i think you can just comment in the jira you're interested in and ask some one(may be the creator of the jira or other one) to assign.
