Hi Carlos, I agree with Piotr. Retaining your ActionScript business logic instead of the risk of porting it to a less structured language is one of the original premises behind FlexJS.
I could be wrong, but I think all of the emails I've answered about FlexJS in the past months are from people looking to migrate. I don't recall anyone saying they are creating a new app and choosing between FlexJS and other JS frameworks. IMO, renaming the code should be a day of work, but maybe I'm missing something. Let's fork the thread for that topic. I'm not sure I've heard much support for any other name than Royale, so I think we should start another yes/no vote thread for Royale. I would like to know from Justin Hill if (project=Royale,product=FlexJS) would alleviate his concerns. Also note, the further I dig into the new non-Adobe packaging, the more different a package that can produce a SWF is from one that is truly JS-only, so that is further making me think we can have two products with different names. We already have the one that produces SWFs that we should continue to call FlexJS. I should have the other one working soon.
