Hi Alex, I get back to this and look closer into compiler code regarding point #1. I see following comments in Configuration.java:
"The major_version is required while minor_version and revision are optional. The minimum value is 10.0.0. If you do not specify the minor_version or revision, then the compiler uses zeros." In code I see that if I don't have in flex-config.xml <target-player> at all I have exception reported by this line [1].
