Hi Josh, Thank you for pointing me to these methods. Unfortunately it is not working for me. I reached the point where I'm able to create dynamically component in FlexJS, but upgradeElement cannot find it and upgrade properly.
I decided to create simple pure MDL application [1] where I'm doing same thing as in FlexJS - adding new Tab to TabBar.
