Ok ... so it seems the Jars contain the META-INF/LICENSE file [1] requires.
The compiler-build-tools will probably not be built by the Ant release, but it's source will (I hope) definitely be part of the release sources. Regarding [2], we are planning to publish binary artifacts, the binary distribution however is not part of the maven release. So the only thing that will be providing a "distribution" in this release, will be the Ant release. As soon as we had the time to consolidate the maven distribution module, we might think of using the maven distribution instead, but for now this is not a binary distribution. See last few sentences of [1], Which I think (but not 100% sure) would include the first 2 repos you mentioned? Also licenses and notice files for binary convenience releases often need different content. [2] So looking at (for example) [3] I see it contains several class files. Is the source for these (for example HelpMojo) going to be included in the source release we are voting on?
