IMO, it is all under ALv2, so we can do what we want. Usually we adopt communities so we want to move the entire community in one move so there is no confusion about where the active code and discussions are and we clearly know we adopted all of the latest code.
In this case, there isn't an active community, so we can take our time. I'd say unless you hear objections in the next 72 hours, you can proceed. Feel free to start a VOTE thread if you think it will grab more attention. The ASF board has asked that we open a JIRA to track the adoption, especially our attempts to contact past contributors and get their approval.
