There is no need to run the whole build again, just the project you're working on. So, if you're making changes to the mx::Alert component, you'd only re-build "/frameworks/projects/mx". You can do this by pointing your Terminal at that directory and execute 'ant main'. This will rebuild the project's SWC.
Note: after rebuilding the SWC, do a "Project/clean..." in FB, to make sure the compiler picks up the freshly build version.
