Can you manually download

https://github.com/swfobject/swfobject/archive/2.2.zip

It worked for me.  

If you have Apache Ant, you can always get the binary package from
http://flex.apache.org/download-binaries.html, unpack it, and run:

        ant -f installer.xml

Sometimes Ant has better luck getting some of these downloads.
