I just had a chance to run tests using an iphone 5c. The bug does not show itself and the callout positions itself correctly when rotating device. I can only produce trouble on every android device tested (2 tablets, 2 phones). On the bright side, my patch does not negatively affect the performance of the callout on the iphone.
