Hi Darkstone, In theory, it shouldn't matter what Git client you use. Maybe folks will tell you which ones they use. I use TortoiseGit on Windows and SmartGit on Mac.
Instead of using the GitHub mirrors, it is better to use the repos directly since that is where you actually have commit privileges. The git-wip-us.apache.org URLs are ones to use. HOWEVER! In this case, the file you want to change is hosted on our website, which is still managed by SVN. So you will need to use SVN and get the web site and update it. To do that, first follow this: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/FLEX/Updating+your+profile+on+T eam+page Then we'll know you can update the site. Then update the trunk/content/installer/sdk-installer-config-4.0.xml file with the FP 15 info.
