IIUC, installer 3.0 is good enough, but the installer.xml file in the 4.12 release SDK is not good.
So IMO, we shouldn't make a release now, because in this case, installer 3.0 will replace 2.7 as the default installer page (installer.html). So people who install Flex using the official combination of installer + SDK 4.12 will get an error, right? I think we should wait until the next point release (SDK 4.12.1) to make an official release of the installer. IMO there is - the ant script is really part of the installer it just happens to live in the SDK. If we release the installer before we release a new SDK there is risk that we will have a serious locale issue. But if other PMC members are willing to take that risk and help out the (possible many) users that run into the issue then go for it and release it. I've voted -1 because of this issue but if there's 3 +1 votes that makes it's an official release. Hopefully the negative feedback from users will be minimal and worse case someone who voted +1 on this can make another release quickly. Don't think I need to say any more on this matter as I've made my views clear. Thanks, Justin
