I ordered an asus fhd 10 (x86 android) and noticed the same thing while
testing my air android game. My app runs slow on these devices. The problem
is not just air either, some asus apps won't start and windows RDP for
android runs faster in software mode. The new frankenstien devices that
people are wanting now have lead to some akward devices such as x86 android.
Both Android and lower level langagues like air are suffering from the
slowlly predictive market changes.

So far the attitude I'm getting from people is that I should focus on either
arm/android or x86/win8. But the market is giving us windows running on arms
and android running on x86. If people are right and keep the same attitude,
this may be a market shift back to windows and web applications vs.
ios/android downloadables.

The best solution I've found is to have apps that can degrade and still
kinda work in unexpected enviroments. Basically, air apps need to have video
settings like full blown games. Let people choose softare render vs. gpu and
let them choose to disable fancy zoom features and special effects. Air apps
of course should already have air packaged with the app despite file size.
