IOW, when it is donated and committed into a Apache Git repo, that you stick around to help fix bugs and make any other adjustments for licensing and copyright management. In order for you to do so, it would be best if you file an ICLA and your company files a CCLA. Or is there some logistical reason that you will not be able to make changes to that code in the future? -Akex
