Pre-checking the "required" is probably ok. I'm pretty sure we can't default into the optional stuff.
Note, though, that BlazeDS has been donated, so the only remaining optional download (IIRC) is the Embedded Font Libraries. Does anybody have the time and motivation to help me re-write these?
