@Joao.

Flex component is based on Apache License, the Modest Map engine is the
base for the component but the idea in the component and most of them will
be my own, Since I'm comitter of SDK it's a feature pending approval by
community. I still pending approval by the guys at modest to approve
donation of classes at core engine.
The only concern that I really care about is the license of Maps vendors,
Openstreet just need to show the copyrights notice, others like Google,
Nokia Here, Bing, needs a api_key which will be implemented in the
component.

@Frederick @Marcus, Openscales is a great open-source map project, but
doesn't fit on Flex SDK due to other license aproach
http://openscales.org/license/index.html and some ideas in their current
project can be implemented in our current one.

Foundation is make a very UI consistence component for Maps rather than
depending on vendors sdks.

But to make it clear, It's a very first draft that needs more
implementation and rights of use for tile base images, From what I've read
in their Agreements license we can start using it, we're just consuming
tile images 256px png files from their API services. But most requires the
copyright notices from their images, the only one that needs license
mention is openstreet. Major licenses approaches from API request token,
keys.
