Possible fix:
In List. item_mouseDownHandler(event:MouseEvent),
event.target points to the component under the mouse, whereas
event.currentTarget points to the itemRenderer, so the fix is to set
mouseDownObject to event.currentTarget instead of event.target.
so replace spark.components.List
line 1926
mouseDownObject = event.target as DisplayObject;
by:
mouseDownObject = event.currentTarget as DisplayObject;
I am now testing this fix and will post a patch.
