Hello Devs, My name is Melvin Otieno. I joined the group a while back, close to a month, and I have been following up on the conversations to get a gist of what is going on. So far, I have been floating around.
I have tried interacting with fineract locally to try to understand how it works from a user perspective. As a developer, however, I am yet to fully grasp the working of the system. Eventually, I would love to be a contributor to fineract. My reason for reaching out is, I have been working in fintech for almost 5 years now and we have our own system that was built from the ground up using then mifos principles. Due to unforeseeable poor system architecture and design, the decision to build from the ground up has proven to be costly and so it is the plan to move to fineract in the near future. Before the impending move, it is my plan to understand the workings of fineract as much as possible and contribute to its development and success altogether. I believe I can offer a lot to the team.
