Hi All Please join in welcoming Zoltan as part of the Druid PMC committee.
Zoltan, a Hive PMC and a Calcite committer, has been a consistent and impactful contributor to Druid for around two years. He is the go-to person for window functions, Druid-Calcite integration, and decoupled SQL planning. His deep understanding of these areas has driven major improvements in the project. Recently, he helped architect the revamped GitHub Actions pipeline, reducing phase 1 test runtime from 54 minutes to 27 minutes, significantly improving developer experience. In total, Zoltan has amassed over 135 commits, covering critical enhancements across the SQL layer and beyond. Given his technical expertise, commitment to the project, and leadership in shaping key architectural improvements, I strongly believe he would be an excellent addition to the PMC.
