Hi all, I want to discuss moving druid-core, extendedset, and druid-hll into druid-processing to simplify our code structure and dependencies a bit. We've been discussing doing something like this off and on for quite a lot of years now, re https://github.com/apache/druid/issues/4312, and we've done parts of it, but .. we just haven't got back to it yet.
I've opened a PR https://github.com/apache/druid/pull/13698 and have done some testing so I think it should be minimally disruptive (see PR for details), but wanted to raise this on the list to try to get a wider audience and see if anyone has any concerns I missed. There are still a couple of CI issues to work out.
