Hello

On the 16th of September, we released Druid 24.0.0 which was a major
milestone in our journey, introducing significant improvements and a whole
new multi-stage query engine! Keeping up the momentum, we would like to
start preparing for the next quarterly release of Druid 25.0 in December.
Since that is still a little way off, we are also working on a patch
release (24.0.1) in the meantime to address some issues identified in Druid
24.0. I am volunteering to be the manager for both of these upcoming
releases.

We can use this thread to discuss important issues or features that would
be a nice addition to Druid 25.0. There are some much awaited features
already in progress such as support for UNNEST in SQL, fault-tolerance and
sequential sketch merge in multi-stage query engine, front-coded string
dictionaries, segment balancing improvements and a Hadoop3-compatible Druid
distro. We would love to include other PRs that you feel would make Druid
better.

The tentative date for the code-freeze is November 14. So chase after your
reviewer buddies and rack up those commits!

Regards
Kashif
