Hi, Does it make sense to test DPDK without the underlying hypervisor supporting SR-IOV? I am trying to understand DPDK by trying it out on a VM running on Virtual Box. My intent is to see packets arriving on my virtual eth ports directly into the user space, completely bypassing the guest kernel. The expectation is that if this works, then once i move to an environment which supports SR-IOV then i will get full bang for my buck.
Is my understanding correct here? Thanks, Abhishek
