This patchset enables building DPDK on 32-bit systems, and has been tested using debian 32-bit on x86 i.e. doing an "i686" build in the old build system.
Additional work is still required (possibly via cross-file) to get DPDK building for 32-bit on a 64-bit system, but this is the first step in that process.
