Hi there! My name is SHEN, Qifeng. I am a fresh graduate student from CUHK and very interested in the Doris GSoC 2024 Program(i.e. Dictionary encoding optimization <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GSOC-252>).
I am skilled at C++ and have the knowledge of optimization techniques about data storage for warehouses or OLAP systems. Therefore, I want to apply for the program about dictionary encoding. And I am willing to explore other methods of storing strings in Doris and do the benchmarks about the optimization. Could I get more details about this project? I really appreciate it! Best, Qifeng
