very much agree
It's a very good idea to quickly iterate through some 1.0.x versions before the
official 1.1.0 release

????: [Discuss] About to release first Major version

Hi all:

Doris has released 7 minor versions since it entered Apache incubator(for 0.9
to 0.15).

With the addition of the vectorization engine and more useful features, I think
we can start thinking about releasing the first major version.

Since there is a lot of work, including performance tuning and stability issues
that are still being improved, we expect to release the first official major
version at the end of Q1, and until then we will occasionally identify
milestones for the final major version by "tag" to allow for rapid iteration
and feedback. Such as 1.0.0, 1.0.1, etc...
These tags are not officical releases, but only serve as a reflection of the
stage of progress before the final release.

The final release of the first major version maybe 1.1.0.

If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to discuss.
