Hi, You don't need to wait for the new feature is ready to the Apache release. As you may need to do lot of thing such as change package name, verify the License issue at the first release. It's better to start the release process ASAP, otherwise it may slow down your release process if you need to apply the Apache policy and make the branch stable with new feature at the same time.
