Hi!
thanks to Lotjar (and many other contributors in the past few months),
we now have a working Studio with Java 25.
There is still some work to be done:
- getting an Apple ID to sign the dmg package for Mac OS
- removing the OpenLDAP plugins that are not ready
but otherwise we are not that far from a release.
It won't incorporate the latest version of ApacheDS and LDAP API, there
is more work to reach this point (and that also include the removal of
the Kerberos configuration that has been removed from ApacheDS) but this
will be the next big step. Ideally speaking, I'd like to get it working
with Tycho 5.0.3, the latest version, when the current build has been
updated to work with tycho 4.0.4 (but no higher, we get some failure
otherwise). Tycho is still a mystery to me... In the next version I'd
also like to have those features added:
- support of XLSX files: the current implementation can only export 65
000 entries in XLS, because it's the XLS limit.
- Improvement of the CSV/XLS export: due to the fact we don't know about
the attributes to export, we need to gather them all in memory before
being able to create the tabular form. It would be better to store a
copy of the data on a temporary file, gathering the attribute name in
memory, then dump the CSV file
- Definitively add the OpenLDAP configuration plugins, which has been a
work in progress since 2013...
- and a lot of bug fixes...
Lot on our plate, but still, we are moving forward!
