Emmanuel Lecharny commented on DIRSTUDIO-1205:
----------------------------------------------
[~seelmann] AFAICT, the SSLEngine does not provide a lot of useful information,
beside the {{Handshake Failure}} and {{certificat_unknown}}... I'm not sure you
want to run Studio with the {{-Ddebug.ssl}} flag set all the time either.
Now, certificates is already a huge issue for many (most?), and any improvement
in the way they are used is very welcome. In a perfect world, we would offer
some tooling to check some basic elements (pretty much like what we have in the
connection configuration to check the connection and the authentication).
That would worth a discussion.

> It sure does not work on the latest Ubuntu, as it fails the SSL handshake,
> and it does the same on the latest CentOS as well. So which platforms does it
> work on?
> I wanted to setup docker container, but not sure if I want to waste any more
> of my time.
