I engage you to try with the latest Studio version, 2.0.0-M14 which has been
released a few months ago :http://directory.apache.org/studio/downloads.html
Then let us know if you still face the same issue.
FTR, Studi requires *at least* Java 7, which means it should work with newer
revisions (but we haven't yet released it with Java 9 and upper, they are very
different beasts).
