If the server sends back a SOAP fault without a WS-Addressing RelatesTo header, CXF mistakes the fault for a partial response and waits for a real reply. Synchronous calls already check for an error in that case and throw it. Async calls didn’t, so the AsyncHandler was never called and the call hung forever. The fix is one condition in ClientImpl.onMessage(): if a partial response contains an error, the async callback now receives it, as sync calls already do. The new test DispatchAsyncFaultTest sends the reporter’s fault to sync, AsyncHandler and Response clients. Without the fix both async tests hang; with it, all three get the fault. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
