Hi Maj,

first welcome to the team. We really apreciate when people want to help with CXF development.

Basically you can work on any issue in jira or also create new issues and work on them.

You should check out the source code, work on the issue and when you have a solution you can create a patch and attach it to the issue. To ensure your patch has a good quality you should do a full build on your own system before the patch and after. Your change should not create new test failures and new functionality should
have a unit test and if possible also a system test that shows it works.

You should also take a look at:
http://cxf.apache.org/coding-guidelines.html
http://cxf.apache.org/getting-involved.html

The most important thing though is to work out a solution and attach the patch to an issue. A committer will check the patch and tell you if something is wrong with it ;-)

Before you start real work in the code you can also comment on the issues you want to work on and discuss possible solutions.

Hi People,

I have been using Apache CXF for a while now.

Actually, I am looking forward to getting invoved in its development.
I read from the web site that there are possible needs on JiBX
databinding (GSoC project) and SOAP/TCP support(GSoC project).

Could you please provide me with more information on how to contribute?

With Kind regards,

Maj
